even after formatting, you can recover files with the help of some
file recovery software like recuva.
or you can put your hard disk in another system as secondary hard disk
and copy all the required files without any problem.
or you can install operating system again in another partisan and copy
the files to your desired location and format both the drives with
fresh copy.
