hi, usually the NVDA starts automatically. you don't need to start it. in some cases, its possible that the audio driver of the particular system is not included in the package in that case, the NVDA might not work. one simple way to find where the windows is install to look the drives and find the files of operating system like windows folder, program files folder etc. or go to disk management once you are boot in to win7 p E and you will see the text something like that: (x:) simple basic ntfs healthy( boot, page file, crash dumb) primary partition this would be your OS partition. if your microphone or any other audio device is not working properly, make sure the drivers are compatible and have installed correctly.
