I know it is difficult to be sure of a scribe till the last minute and I
have gone through this hell myself.
I had told you to keep a petition ready for the High Court while you were
waiting for this letter and I had also told you that I would be in Delhi
from the 20th of May to help if needed-please refer to previous emails on
this subject.
Just check on the different centres available forthis exam-is there one
centre in Delhi or many. UPSC has many examinees sitting so they can
actually have one common venue for all disabled examinees. I don't know how
many sit for the Judicial services exams and how many centres ae there.
I would have liked you to go to court rather than the CCPD for the
accessible papers and etra time etc. Pankaj or Akhilesh could have handled
this matter if you had listened to me at that time. I would have also been
in Delhi and we would have won. This would have closed the matter for ever.
Delhi HC has a vacation court from next week
CCPD will give the orders I am sure but implementation is difficult by 1st
June.
Anyway send it tomorrow for sure with a copy to the Delhi registry.
I would actually like you to write to the Registry on extra time.
If it works great and if does not then it will definitely work for the next
time. This is the same problem with UPSC. Most of the people don't follow up
during the yearand only wake up towards the last few days. I don't like this
and keep following up whether exams are due or not.
If you don't want my comments as someone on this group has suggested then
please let me know and I will stop answering your emails.
  Take care and work hard.

the disabled.
Subject: Re: [AI] Urgent legal assistance required in scribe matter in Delhi
judicial services exam

1. Their condition is that the person must not graduate/post graduate
in law, I accept it, but this conditionality can be ascertained at the
day of the examination too. It is not easy for a visually challenged
to find a person who could commit you that in any case he would be
available after 10 days, (because the letter has to reach to high
court latest by 25).
2. Accessible venue mean, the venue which is well connected to popular
transport means such as Delhi metro, or is situated at well known
place, or is near to candidate's residential area. So that it could be
easy to reach the exam center with out much difficulty. Say for
instance, the examination center allotted to me is at the other corner
of Delhi and the place is not connected to Delhi metro, it gets
difficult to reach at such venues. What UPSC does, they keep center
near to Delhi metro where u don't have to cross the road even. More
over at such venues the staf also are not trained to cater the special
requirement of disabled candidates.

Mam, what can I do now, except going to CCPD, at least to order high
court administration to provide question paper in accessible format
and to remove the condition of firnishing an affidavit one week in
advance. Indirectly high court administration compeling the VI
candidates to accept their own scribes.
And yes, I am concentrating on my syllabus, but before the exam, the
worrey of scribe is horrible.
