1. Your caby can certainly drop you to the airline staff, after which they will tuide you. DO please inform them in advance after booking is done. 2. Book hotels etc. in advance after reading safety online and alos take peripheral services like guide etc. from the same hotel's reference so tracking back such people is easier. 3. As Ajay said, do feel comfortable and confident when you are paying for your hospitality in hotels and restaurants and yah, i do feel better when i pay extra service tips to the staff their as they sometimes work out of their way out of compassion to help us. SO be generous in rewarding such good feelings. Does not mean you are disrespecting their genuine service by money. 4. Let me congratulate your friend for such a daring expedition. I am sure, they will have moments to remember for life. But i would have taken following precautionary steps: a. Do try to find out a friend or a reference who can share local realities and cost for travel and hotels b. The person may be handy in case of any eventuality. 5. Do make a note of every person's name you deal with including his/her contacts. The fashionable line of "i am very bad with names" may be risky sometimes for us.
