Brenda,
I'd like to second Ruel's recommendation of the Dummies books. Like
you I started with an "industrial strength" book on Access and only
got the Dummies book later. The one I purchased was "nine books in
one" or some such thing. The benefit was that it anticipated the
concept problems I was having and explained them better than the big
book. Take a look at it an BN or Borders.
