Reneabling the interrupts after boot, even with one minute delay, causes the
problem to come back for me, on Debian testing, with any recent kernel, on an
2022 LG Gram 16.
As a separate comment, the 'workaround' changes many other things that are
unconnected to the problem, that the user may wish to set up differently.
