There is nothing in Active4D that would prevent this. It might be something in WebStar, but I can't know unless I know what the error > is.
I have narrowed this down a bit further now.
I have a page served from WebSTAR which contains the login form. This uses the "GET" form method, with text input fields for user (the visitor's email address) and password.
The action which is called is a page for which I have set up a Welcome plug-in rule.
When I set the Welcome rule's action to "Redirect temporary", everything works just fine, and the email address and password are passed correctly on to the .a4d page.
However, I really want to set the Welcome rule to "Proxy" so that the user's browser does not display the path information to the Active4D/4D Web server (my main reason for using Welcome at all). When I do this I get a "Generic Error" page which I have never seen before and which I assume is produced by Welcome, and in the WebSTAR log window I get a Welcome "error 213 while fetching remote page."
If I enter a user name without the "@" character, then the Proxy Welcome rule works fine.
So, proxy requests from Welcome cannot contain "@" characters, it seems. Unless there is a setting somewhere which I have not tracked down.
I have searched the Welcome mailing list archive, but not found any reference to this problem, so I hope someone might have a suggestion for me here. I realise that, as it turns out, this is not an Active4D issue at all, and so I've gone off topic. Apologies in advance for that.
Thanks.
