Ah migration.... Fun. The only way to not have to touch clients at all is my doing an inplace upgrade of domains from NT4 to AD. That's not always a good idea, however, and it seems that you're wanting to start with a clean slate.
Third party tools (like Fastlane Domain Migrator from Quest Software) can do most of the client side migration as well. We've had reasonable success with testing that, but in general we still do a manual migration. Keep in mind that you can do profile copies for the local machines, which just takes a bit of time (manual operation), but would solve that side of the requirement. ------------------------------------------------------ Roger D.
