1. Run ADSIEDIT.MSC (or equiv.) from the Support Tools (located on
the Windows CD)
2. Expand the Configuration
container
3. Expand cn=DisplaySpecifiers then
cn=409 (assuming this is for US English ... whatever that is ;o)
4. Locate cn=user-Display and bring
up its properties.
5. Locate and edit the createDialog
property
6. Set the value to the following
literal (or experiment and locate the properties of your choosing)
-
%<sn>,
%<givenName>
7. Ensure the change above has
replicated to or was originated against the DC(s) in focus before re-running

display name of a user in their property sheet but it still shows the old
display name when you look at it in Active Directory Users and Computers. You
can look at the properties and it shows the new display name.. What else do I
