Craig,
I get picture place holders in Outlook as well. I
think no damage can be done until you "download pictures". It may be using
about a two month old critical flaw in Window's processing of images. It's
been patched I think but your system may or may not have been updated. So,
if you do not see the image, you are most likely safe. If you have seen
the image itself, good luck. Kind of like Medusa. It appears that
this is a virus judging from all the other members
experiences although I cannot confirm that since I am not downloading the
pictures.

I've also been getting these emails; do yours have picture place-holders? Can somebody put a STOP to this creep?
I opened the first one, but have been deleting them since; have I been exposed, or is it necessary to open an attachment to get the virus?

I got it, too. Avast flagged it as a virus and I deleted it.
