So no way "no way". This group is about ActivePerl, so (for about 100%
sure) Microsoft software is involved.

Coming from somebody that runs Microsoft software himself, that
statement has no meaning.

The point remains that either data can make code crash, or (helped by
badly designed hardware) data can become code. To solve the first
situation, you need different code. To solve the second situation, you
also need different hardware.
