Kathy, If you were not already planning to do so, I would encourage you to register for the annual ACUPA conference that is being held in October in conjunction with EACUBO. In addition to our concurrent sessions during the EACUBO conference, we are also offering a Pre-Conference Workshop. I began doing what you are now doing about six years ago, and I cannot tell you how invaluable it is to attend the conference and network with individuals who have been through, or who are going through, the same daunting task that you are facing. There is a wealth of information that will be shared that I think would you find very beneficial.
Information about our conference is available on ACUPA's website. http://www.acupa.org/ Hope to see you there! Donna Donna W. Meeks [Description: ODUlogoODUtagfullcolor] Old Dominion University University Policy Manager and Executive Secretary to the Board of Visitors 225A Koch Hall Norfolk, VA 23529 757-683-3072 / FAX 757-683-5679 [email protected] http://www.odu.edu/ao/bov/ http://www.odu.edu/ao/polnproc/ From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Kathy Warden Sent: Wednesday, June 25, 2014 11:21 AM To: '[email protected]' Subject: [acupa-l] Policy management in transition to independent University ACUPA members, The University of Oregon is transitioning from the Oregon University System to an independent University of Oregon with a Board of Trustees. Part of this transition involves the massive task of reviewing all system and university policies, determining which to adopt or rewrite; and deciding where new policies are needed. Since this includes a great number of policies, the task needs to be carefully coordinated and managed. Has anyone gone through this type of transition? If so, did you hire someone to coordinate this effort and what did that structure look like? We are looking for any successful models you are willing to share. Kathy Warden Operations and Program Manager Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost University of Oregon ATTN: Please be aware that when you respond to an ACUPA-L e-mail, the reply will be distributed to the ENTIRE list of members. If you do NOT want to send an e-mail to everyone, please reply directly to the individual who initiated the query (their e-mail address appears in the "From" line of their original e-mail). If you wish to remove yourself from the ACUPA e-mail list, please go to the following website and complete the form. We will remove you from the list within 24 hours, during normal business hours. http://www.acupa.org/MembershipForm_Discontinue.html If you have questions about the ACUPA e-list, please contact Jamie Parris at [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]?subject=ACUPA%20e-list%20assistance> or 607-255-6837. ________________________________ NOTE: This message was trained as non-spam.
