Ms. Hemmerlein: At Florida International University, the policy development process and policy library are owned by the Office of Compliance and Integrity. We do not have a stand-alone policy office.
The Policy Coordinator is responsible for maintenance of the policy library and reports to the Chief Compliance Officer, who reports to the General Counsel. This position is combined with other compliance-related duties, i.e., training, reports, research, etc. The duties involving the policy function include: * Providing support on the maintenance of the University Compliance Office's Web site and the University Policies and Procedures Library/Web page * Serving as liaison among the various University divisions/departments for the successful maintenance and updating of the Policies and Procedures Library I hope this helps with your analysis.
