Meg:

Ohio State doesn't have a university-wide Infectious Disease Policy. We have
these related policies:

Disaster Preparedness and University State of Emergency,
http://hr.osu.edu/public/documents/policy/policy617.pdf , which allows the
university to tell folks they can't come to campus (see guiding principles "E"
on page 2).

This week or next we're issuing requirements related to the Ebola Virus
Disease. I can send you those, but they haven't been officially approved yet,
so I'm not comfortable sending them out to the whole list-serv...let me know if
you want the document.

And in case it is helpful, I've attached our "pandemic plan" that gets
refreshed every couple of years. It is not yet updated on the web.

I am ok with you sharing it with the list-serv. I just don't want it to be
released to all OSU students, faculty and staff. It isn't "confidential", but
until it is no longer in "draft" form, I am not posting it on my website.

So I understand that I should NOT send this to the ACUPA list serve. Can I
share it with the original requestor? Just let me know what is appropriate.

Not for general public distribution, but here is our general pandemic plan. I
tis marked "Draft" because I made some changes and need to get my EOC committee
to approve it. I do not anticipate many (if any) changes once they review.

Bob:

Does emergency management have some sort of official document regarding
infectious diseases? See the request below. If you do, can you share it with
me?

Within your institution, where is your policy on infectious disease housed -
under General Administration, HR, ....Here in NJ by statue it should fall under
the college's Emergency Operations Plan as a Board of Trustees policy. Do any
of your institutions have such a policy in place that you could share as
appoint of reference and have any of you incorporated it into your
institution's emergency op plan?

Thanks for any information you may be able to provide.
