Subject: Re: [acupa-l] Leave Donation Program policies

Hi Bonnie and all,
We do have a vacation leave donation program that is only available to Civil
Service and Labor-Represented employees. That policy is located here:
http://policy.umn.edu/hr/vacationdonation. All of the inclusions and
exclusions are identified and documentation requirements are there as well as
the following language pertaining to denials:

Denial of a request to use donated days is not subject to grievance or appeal.
I understand from our HR area that while this policy has been in place for a
long time, there are no many people who use it.

Best of luck,
Michele

Hello colleagues,

Would you mind sharing your policies on Catastrophic Leave/Leave Donation
programs?

Specifically, we are wondering who/what approves the requests for leave
submitted by employees? An office/individual/committee? Is there an appeal
process for denied requests, and to whom?

Thank you,
Bonnie Leigh
