Karen, Similar to ODU, Cornell does not have a formalized policy on child safety zones.
Out of curiosity, what would you envision this policy covering? Would it impose restrictions for sex offenders that are more stringent than law? We view university policy here as only necessary if it is not already codified in law; in other words, if it's against the law, then it is automatically against university policy. In these cases, a policy is generally not indicated unless there are special or more restrictive provisions. I believe that is the position we would take on the suggestion of creating such a policy.
