Hi Nicole,

At the University of New Mexico, full-time students receive "free" tickets to
most Athletics events (for which Athletics is compensated through an allocation
from student activity fee revenue), as described in the following policy from
the student handbook:

Athletics and Recreation

Athletic Schedules & Tickets (925-5520) http://golobos.com<http://golobos.com/>.
Call 925-5626 for ticket information for athletic events. Admission for
full-time students to all athletic events, except for special tournaments, is
free. Student tickets are required for football, and women's and men's
basketball games, and may be picked up at the Athletic Department Ticket
office, located at the southeast corner of the UNM Arena (The PIT), near Cesar
Chavez and University Boulevards and outside the UNM Bookstore. Full-time
students must present their current student ID at the door for admittance to
all other athletic events.

There is also an administrative policy on staff
recognition<https://policy.unm.edu/university-policies/3000/3235.html> under
which tickets may be provided as a non-monetary award, as follows:

3.2.3.1. Non-Monetary Awards

Examples of allowable non-monetary awards that recognition programs might fund
include:

        *   reserved parking spaces;
        *   certificates, plaques, and trophies;
        *   gift items;
        *   lunches or dinners;
        *   professional association memberships;
        *   conference opportunities;
        *   recreational services;
        * tickets to University events; and
        * personal enrichment courses from UNM Continuing Education.

Best,
Pamina
