Hello Tinu,

Rather than a single glossary, our policies include a definition section as
part of the policy when terms need defining; but most of our policies do not
require this section. Occasionally one definition is used for more than one
policy on a similar subject; in those cases, we may link to a definition in
another policy and note the source.

However, the office is careful not to have conflicting definitions in different
policies.

All the best,

Rebecca

Subject: [acupa-l] Glossaries

Hi Folks,
Doing some research on how other institutions use glossaries in connection with
policies. Do you have one on your policy site? More than one? Presented as an
optional resource to use for drafting or requirement? Used for some terms but
not others? Have more than one definition for the same term (student, employee,
etc.)?
Thanks!
Tinu
