Hi Tinu,
Here at the University at Buffalo, we do have a policy glossary that includes
all the words that are included in the definition section of each policy.
The glossary includes the definition and a direct link to the policy/policies
in which the word is used.
Here is the link:
http://www.buffalo.edu/administrative-services/policy1/glossary.html

The Glossary does include instances where the same word is defined a bit
differently in different policies, but we are working towards developing
consistent definitions.
The Glossary can be used as a resource for those drafting new or revised
policies.
Hope this information helps.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Thanks,
Pam

Subject: [acupa-l] Glossaries

Hi Folks,
Doing some research on how other institutions use glossaries in connection with
policies. Do you have one on your policy site? More than one? Presented as an
optional resource to use for drafting or requirement? Used for some terms but
not others? Have more than one definition for the same term (student, employee,
etc.)?
Thanks!
Tinu
