Tinu, We struggled with this, because we have non-retaliation protection written in to many of our policies. However, because of some New York State legislation, our board of trustees have decided to issue a separate policy. It is in draft form now, so I am not able to share it, but it will be promulgated within the next few weeks.
When it is finalized I will share it. Hi all, We are considering revisions to our Protection for Reporting Improper Government Activities policy which is a restatement of protection from retaliation under North Carolina law. I am interested in knowing if other universities have a separate Whistleblower Protection policy or simply provide employees with access to information regarding retaliation protections under applicable state or federal law.
