That is unfortunate since Exchange 2007, due its new security model, is very
good at "daylighting" domain naming issues that may have lain dormant and
unnoticed for years. Sure wish I knew an MVP who could yell at Microsoft about
this for me. ;-)

No such thing is planned in the Exchange 2007 timeframe, as far as I know.

Any word on when there will be a tool to assist with domain renaming with
Exchange 2007?

Then it's up to you. Google rendom, and the Exchange rename tool, on
Microsoft's support site.

It's probably easier to rename the domain. There is something to be said for
"starting fresh" as well.

Subject: Domain rename

Hi.
We are a college and we are changing out name thus the domain name will have to
be changed.
I am running AD on windows 2003 serve and exchange 2003 for email.. Is it best
to setup a new domain and migrate users to that or try to rename the current
one in place.
Any suggestions would be helpful
Thanks
Ryan
