Believe it or not, I've been doing editing on my Sony VAIO laptop, with 512 MB, and 80 GB. But, I want to buy a desktop that I can use strictly for editing. Does anyone have any suggestions? I like Sony VAIO. What do I need to put in this PC to really get the best of Premiere that I can. Anyone....?
---Believe it or not, you need to GET AWAY from "proprietary" systems. Check out http://www.boxxtech.com/asp/default.asp or http://www.1beyond.com/ for starters. If those are a little pricey for you, still consider staying away from major manufacturer "systems" and focus instead on major motherboard manufacturers instead. The trouble with proprietary systems is that they introduce tech that isn't always compatible across the board with anything and everything.
