I didn't see that about the cam Jeff, thanks for clearing that up. ---Well the reason I said what I said was simply because every single instance of this sort of thing posted to this list has resulted in almost the same problem....looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like one too.... Unfortunately I think this duck isnt going to like Premiere either! :-( For some reason the makers of still cameras refuse to standardize with DV-AVI codecs and the result is an AVI file that is not all the way there. Some folks who seem to know a lot more than I are under the impression that the AVI files are either proprietary or AVI 1.0 which I dont know much about. When I started learning about NLE systems they were already trying to get away from 1.0 and therefore I didnt give it much thought. I do know that some still cameras WILL work well if you import the output file into QuickTime and then use Premiere in QuickTime mode so perhaps our buddy with the still cam could try mucking about with QT Pro and try to come up with something useable that way.
