I read some info online, they all saying Canon avoids paying patent fee for the
CD/DVD printing feature, all Canon inkjet printers selling in the US has the
feature disabled through the firmware.

I also use Two of the cannon printers. Similar to this model

http://www.canon.com.au/products/printers/colour_bj_printers/ip3000.html

They have separate ink tanks so a lot cheaper to replace, print about 500
disks before we have to change the ink ( depends on the graphic)

No problems with waiting to dry is very fast, and we print over 500 + disks
per month.

Have been doing this for about 18 mths. No problems

I have an Epson R200, and I love it, the ink hower is costly (6 ink
cartridges, each at about $12, or you can get compatible ones, at $24.99
for sex of them and works fine).

But I also want to cautious many who prints like I do: over 500 each
month, the cd tray gets abuse badly and then it stops working, and I
found out from Epson Technical Support, they no longer do any exchange
for you if your printer is damaged (even if it's still under warranty),
they will ask you to MAIL it to one of their service center, the one
closes to me (in Cleveland) is located in Michigan, and when I called
there, I heard children crying in the background while the lady
answering the phone telling the kid to cool it...so I don't know how
legit that company could be...

At anyrate, Epson's customer service is not doing very well, I've been a
loyal Epson customer since 1985 but now I'm considering changing my
service with others due to their change of policy...

If you want additional CD Tray, it will cost you $9.99, they will only
replace the first one free, after that you have to buy them...

Just my POV

Johnny

Better to buy new - you can pick the R200 up for less than $100 if you
shop around, but don't buy refurbished. I have an R200, and I am very
happy with it.
