Hello Ihor, The red box around a transition in the effects menu shows that this is the default transition. This is the one that will be applied if you place the CTI (edit line) at a cut, select the track, and control D, which will appply the transition to that edit point. If you right click on any transition in the effects menu, a drop down menu will appear that allows you to select that transition as the default. The cross dissolve is the default. Back to your problem.....do any other transitions work? Do you have enough overlapping frames for the transition to be applied to. If you reload an older project that the cross disolve did work in, does it still work there? You may need to delete your preference file if other transitions do not work.

I need help with a video transition. I used the Cross Dissolve transition in another project without any problems. Now, I started a new project and it doesn't seem to work. I drag it into my timeline and I can see it on my clip in the timeline. If I doubleclick on it the Cross dissolve effects window pops up for the Cross dissolve. But it doesn't perform the dissolve. Even after rendering. The other transitions work fine. Also, the icon (in the video effects window) for "Cross dissolve" has a red border around it. The other transition icons do not have this red border. What does the red border mean? I opened the plugin folder and the "Cross dissolve" plugin is there. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
