Telling people to not use mpeg files with premiere is the most wearisome
task of this group IMHO. Perhaps the warning should be put in the greeting
letter that one gets when they join....DONT USE MPEG!!!!
This issue is covered extensively in the archives so I will not expand on
this. Yes there may be some cases where you can "get away" with using it but
it is the cases where you can't that form the basis of the rule...convert
your mpeg file to avi then edit away!!!!
