Personally, I think you should go ahead and get Premiere Pro and be done with 
it. I moved to Pro Tools from Premiere a few years ago and it was a piece of 
cake so the opposite shouldnt be any trouble. Like you, I was an audio 
professional having worked with guys like Keith Urban, David Allan Coe and 
others and got into video editing early on with Premiere starting ver. 4.2 and 
then buying into Pro Tools a couple of years ago. You shouldnt have any trouble 
making the jump.
