I'm using After Effects and Premiere Pro 2.0 day in and out without
any problems. However, Encore DVD is a real piece of junk. I'm
getting the following:
Application just locks up, CPU load at 25%, with no particular action.
(Dual core/HT CPU, so a single thread running at 100% shows as 25%
CPU load). Requires End Process from task manager to stop it.
Sometimes adding an MPG file as an asset hangs the application. The
import progress bar hangs.
Just clicking on an MPG asset in the project lists hangs the
application with CPU load at 25%.
Clicking on link button in properties generates dialog box, "Sorry, an
abnormal condition ha been detected." This can be with just a very
simple project and a single menu.
Many times you have to create a new project from scratch to get rid of
these problems.
Standard Windoze XP, SP2 with all the 100s of security patches. Works
just fine though with After Effects and Premiere Pro 2.0.
Any thoughts? Encore just plain sucks.
