Hi,

I wanted to confirm that I've had the same experience with TMPGEnc
4.0 and Encore 2.0.
I recently upgraded to TMPGEnc 4 (despite my annoyance with the
requred internet connection to verify the license.)
I found the same problem you did with Encore and the audio. Encore
hung on import. The previous version of TMPGEnc made it much easier
to export separate streams of video + audio. Can't say I like the new
TMPGE interface - it's "dumbed down."
I didn't know about the PCM encoding though. My solution was to
export my video from Premiere and let TMPGE convert the video only. I
also exported my audio from Premiere and let Encore convert that to
Dolby. Encore does a good job on the audio conversion.
