It is version 2.0.0.48768.

I think I found the root cause. I'm using TMPGEnc 4.0 to convert the DV
AVI to the MPEG 2.0 for DVD playback. If I use the Dolby Digital Audio
encoder for the audio, it causes Encore to crap out. If I select PCM
audio encoding, everything works fine. The lock up and other strange
"Internal Errors" go away. My guess is the TMPEG Dolby audio encoder or
the Encore Dolby Playback CODEC has an error and screws up during playback
and import that corrupts the internal Encore memory.

So very frustfrating though getting all kinds of strange errors that all
seem unrelated. Oh well, linear PCM is better anyway.

Thanks for th posts and hope this follow-up is useful as well.
