The properties of the clip show it to be 1024x786, I think your project size is 720x480. Either Right click on the clip in the timeline and select scale to project size or select the clip in the timeline and go to the effects controls and use the scale under the motion heading to scale the clip to the project size. I can also see that the clip needs rendering in the timeline. This is because it is not the native project size. An avi file that is 720x480 with a .9 pixel aspect ration should playback in real time without rendering.
Drag the playback window down to increase the window size, save that workspace as a unique name then you can toggle between the two as you need.
