I am using Encore CS3 to author a DVD. I have a bunch of MPEG-2 DVD compliant
video files that are encoded using Procoder. After I loaded them into Encore
project, it shows the Status as "Untranscoded" and the Transcode Settings is
"Automatic". After I right click and choose "Transcode Now", the status become
"Transcoded" and the Transcode Settings shows "Don't Transcode".
I tried read through the help file and still don't quite get what it means.
What I want to do is to avoid the process of transcoding so to keep the best
possible quality. Is there a way I can get Encore uses the file I imported
without performing transcoding?
