Hi Gregg, Thanks for that info. I was actually thinking of maybe getting Premiere Elements. Since Premiere Pro 1.5 is working okay for me with everything except track mattes, I can still use it, and if I want to put a track matte in, Premiere Elements does a good job of that. Or for that matter, Photodex Producer also does it. (I think I'm getting too big a collection of software!) I just figured that Premiere Elements is $99, compared to the $299 upgrade for Premiere. Unless you think CS3 has that much more to offer than 1.5? I've just exhausted my wallet on Digital Juice products, so I'm trying to be more careful.

So-o-o-o, my question is, is > there any point in upgrading Premiere Pro to CS3, or > would I be wasting my money? If you're going to spend the money, go to CS3. Don't bother with buying CS2- even if you do find an unused secondhand copy for cheap. The installer is buggy and Adobe never bothered to recall it or release a fix (or any updates- according to what's on their downloads page). Adobe's even removed the information on workarounds for the CS2 installer bug from their website. Just another one of those "How the BLEEP did this horrible BUG get past testing?!" things. __________________________________________________________ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
