1. Alan's suggestion for Keith to recapture should work because that will ensure a useable codec is used.
2. Alan's explanation for "Not Responding" is often true, but there is another condition wherein it happens that turns out to not be a (fatal) problem. In my case any time I switch windows out of PPro CS3, then back into PPro, "Not Responding" occurs for a very long time, sometimes three minutes. When I use task manager, CPU is in the 20's or less. When I look at the disk light on the computer front panel, it is flickering non-stop for the entire period. Eventually it completes whatever it was doing and the "Not Responding" goes away and everything is back to normal. (I hate it because it denies me the freedom of switching out to Windows Explorer or something, unless I'm willing to endure that long delay until PPro is working again.) I would suggest that you do try to capture the clips again, using PPro as the capturing device. I've never had this method fail yet, and often save the file from PPro as an AVI for future use, and they reload fine. The reason for the "Not responding" message is usually because PPro is off in a world of its own and just not responding to outside influences. This is just another example of lousy programming and another bug not fixed.
