Thanks for the suggested solutions. However, I can't seem to make it work. In the Motion Picture Browser, how do I export as AVI? The nearest available command is "Export To" whose only choices are either handycam or memory card. Using the command "Open in External Program" doesn't work either; it only results in the error message again: Unsupported Format Or Damaged File. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I'm not using the latest Premiere but only PPro 2.

You should be able to export as AVI and import - if not directly into Premiere, at least into MovieMaker and then re-export and import into Premiere. > Mike C. > > > To: [email protected] > > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Date: Wed, 25 Jun 2008 14:30:33 +0300 > > Subject: Re: [AP] Unsupported Format Or Damaged File > > > > Dear mike, sony hdrsr10 has a format as .mts and i couldnot find any > > convertor which can do better than software of sony motion pictures browser. > > for that reason movie maker wont recognize this .mts format. > > > > -------------------------------------------------- > > From: "Mike Chalmers" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > Sent: Wednesday, June 25, 2008 1:41 PM > > To: <[email protected]> > > Subject: RE: [AP] Unsupported Format Or Damaged File > > > > > I have had the same problem with my Handycam.
