Thanks,

I probably should have taken the advice to download VLC media player
sooner, as it seems to have solved the MPeg2 issue I was having.

Whatever codec was being used wasn't right

VLC was installed after unloading WinDVD player. VLC, however,
overwrote all media as being associated with the player. Not exactly
great for me, as I'm very use to WMP being called up when I choose a
song. On the other hand, the simplicity of VLC is hard to be annoyed
with....it's very plain wrap.

New issue, after I unloaded WinDVD and loaded VLC I've noticed the
ghosting again when playing mpeg files that haven't been
edited.....essentially all the new 1080i clips taken down from the
HV30 I'll eventually work with in PP CS3.

argh......fix one thing and another breaks......

which playback DVD and DVD formated folder on PC. Of course it plays
all MPEG files too
