Sune...

Let me just say that your little bit of technical advice from a few
days back has CHANGED MY LIFE FOREVER! Lol! Your suggestion about
getting the singer to lip sync at high speed, and then slowing down
the video later on ABSOLUTELY WORKED, and I have been wondering how
that look was achieved FOR YEARS. Well, now I'm DOING IT! I am finally
off and running on my first music video with a very patient young
artist who I also teach music to, mentor, and manage gigs for - sorta
like a young Leigh Mullis (my main artist). She worked hard to - get
this - SING THE SONG at 200%, yes, TWICE the normal speed, because,
while my audio software is infinitely variable, my Windows Movie Maker
is NOT. My only option was to DOUBLE the speed on the front end, and
then HALF it in Windows Movie Maker (the only setting in the
software), but the result is still EXACTLY what I was looking for. The
girl in my video spent a LOT of time laughing and unable to keep a
straight face while lip syncing at double-speed, but she is a good
enough singer/syncer, that she pulled it off.

I am through about one minute of editing on a 5 minute music video, so
stay tuned, I will be sharing soon. I am still doing all of this with
JUST my $200 Walmart camera and Windows Movie Maker, so I know if I
can get something interesting with just this, then I will be worthy of
the camera and software purchase I originally contacted this group about.

Thanks again so much Sune for that advice!
I hope I can buy you a beer some day!

See ya...
Steve
