Sune...

This is the COOLEST technical advice I have ever heard! I never
thought about speeding up the audio, doing the shoot, and then slowing
the video back down later! FASCINATING! Oh yeah! I have NO problem
speeding up the audio! That's the easy part in my software. Syncing it
up, and getting the video to time properly later on is what worries
me. I have experimented even with Windows Movie Maker and actually
done pretty well syncing a pre-recorded studio music track with the
edited video later on. It is a ROYAL PAIN IN THE BUTT doing it with
Windows Movie Maker, but I have pulled it off. However, slowing down a
GIVEN PERCENTAGE, based on a mathematical calculation worries me. I
know that Windows Movie Maker will only allow me to do full speed and
half speed - no variability. Is Adobe Premiere Pro, or preferably
Elements going to allow my to do this (and is syncing a singers lip
movement with the music easy, as in perhaps with infinite variability
- for example, in Pro Tools, I can "Nudge" audio clips down to the
smallest resolution, beats, time counters, or EVEN SAMPLES - if I can
do this sort of "Nudging" in Adobe, I supposed I will be fine syncing
later on)? ....I would LOVE to know that I can save some money and do
the editing I need in Elements, and put the money saved by not getting
Premiere Pro, INTO THE CAMERA...

Now, seriously, are you SERIOUS - is it true that that "slomo" effect
is done the way you describe in the REAL industry? Surely they do it
with camera or software power? I can't imagine a video producer
telling Carrie Underwood she has to go home and learn how to lip sync
her song speeded up...lol... I'LL do whatever it takes, but is that
REALLY the way they do it on CMT? Yeah, what gets me, and DRIVES ME
NUTS is seeing the singer's lips in time with the music, and yet they
have a fan blowing on her hair and it's flowing really slowly! AH!
UGH! I want to be able to do that! LOL...

Thanks man!
I have SO much learning to do!

Take care...
Steve
