Hi Steve!
You have absolutely the most important thing of all: enthusiasm.
I have to say that your enthusiasm inspires me. The market needs more people
like you!

Glad to hear that you are all set up in the audio-department. This will save
you a lot of money and grief (as you already know being a sound-guy:).

I'd like to pitch in on the slomo but lipsynch effect. The way we do that is
actually quite simple. You'll be up and running in no time doing this.

- Import the desired music track into your audio-software
- Increase the speed to aprox 133% but maintain pitch rate so they won't be
hearing Smurfs at playback
- Drill your talent so he/she can sing the song faster. PRACTICE THIS. Send
a cd with them home.
- Play the audio on set
- Do the math and adjust the speed on the video clip in your editing program
accordingly.

This is simply how it is done.

And for the "film effect". This is quite hard to get with DV. DV doesn't
have the color or contrast level of film.
But there are plenty of ways to make it "feel" and "look" like film.
- Use Magic Bullet (

 )
- Use Warm Cards (http://www.warmcards.com/ )
- Set your light up in a professional way (this is hard, but gives a ton of
payback)
- Use a bit of smoke in the background
- See first point
- Use a good camera
- See second point.

I was just about to click your links and give you feedback on the links, but
then I saw that you didn't make them, so I lost interest:) GIVE US YOUR
VIDEOS! We promise to be gentle. They can't be that bad! We are all starting
somewhere, and you are at least producing!!

Sune:)
