Yeah – unfortunately I already tried that. This was also an issue in Encore CS4. I found a work around by deleting the cashe media and deleting the settings file for Encore. The I could re-launch the program and usually I could get it to work. I tried to find the same file in CS5, but it doesn’t seem to exist and I can’t find the settings file for Encore CS5.
I add the media and then create the timeline and set it as first play. As soon as I create a menu and one button link, it won’t preview and gives me the general error. I check the project for errors and it doesn’t show anything. I’ve been successful using AVI’s in the past for SD and HD projects, but this time I’m using mpeg2 video that doesn’t need transcoding. I’m also attaching .wav files to these. I’m wondering if this is what’s causing the problem though it seems to preview o.k. until I add a menu. If you think of anything else, please let me know. One movie, blank background menu and one play button (no chapters etc). If that is fine add in more assets and functions. I guess you know that you can check your project for problems.
