Tim,
I was informed by an Adobe beta tester that they will from now
on release a new full version every two years and an upgrade
the years in-between.
That would mean:
CS5 was released last year.
This year they just released the upgrade CS5.5.
CS6 should then only come out next year.
I don't know what type of videos you make but I can hardly see that
anybody except the big production houses will really need more
than CS5 for a few years to come or for as long as you use AVCHD
and even if you get CS6 it will be an old hat a year later.
