hello,
as said - 'Depends on what causes the crackling.' may it be further clarified
what causes the cracking/crackling. most of the audio i have to work on is
such.
it's because of poor recording  there's no chance to re-record.

is there any way through which frequencies of  individual speakers be selected?
especially when two people talk at the same time and we ccould increase the
volume of the main speaker and simultaneously reduce that of the other speaker.
most of the surrounding noise and hiss could be dealt with noise redution.

also, one more thing - changing the voice pitch. have done using time stretch
in
adobe audition. the result as such okay. it's like a male voice changes to a
boy's voice. having the settings a bit less would not give desired results.
anything on this plz.

thanks and regards,
malli.

Depends on what causes the crackling. Most likely a transient filter
would help, such as one designed to take pops and clicks out of old
vonyl or shellac recordings. Use with care. I do not know what you mean
by "chuttering".  For background noise removal, try a broadband removal
filter, like Bias Sound Soap as an example. Many editors have such
things built in. For S's and F's you might try a sibilance filter.
