I moved over to HD video quite early, finding anything that would actually
edit it seemed to be the near on impossible.  I took a liking to Pinnacle,
with its free upgrade to HD when a new version came out.  Broken link to
the upgrade.  So it never happened.

Anything else I tried either didn't work or needed plugins (or yet another
upgrade) to make it work with HD.
Still, none of the above worked.  I went back to shooting SD...

AP seemed to work, or was the first fully working software I 'tried' that
did, hence I stuck with it :-)

Interesting about the Linux offerings, I have looked in the past, but not
sure if it will involve the same routine as I had above.  It certainly was
last time I checked....

Its good to vent our feelings and have a good old moan, but lets see what
happens first.  I think its time to put this one to bed now, or soon anyway.
