Malwarebytes yes, that other video2xx site NO! :-) The keepvid.com is a safe browser alternative, been using it for years.
I got duped into downloading a realplayer thing a while ago while requesting a file for free (via 'brothersoft', be warned!). Never really used it, but it does give you an option to D/L YT vids and convert them to MP3's afterwards. Its not actually a bad player, just make sure it stays within its own download boundaries and doesn't take over all your media, when you install it. If you are really worried about software, you can always connect the line out/speaker/headphone jack to an audio recorder (or Windows recorder), the old fashioned way.... --N.
