The apps.perlhacker idea I've had is another way we can do this; it's
still in the process of being built, unfortunately, but we're getting
there. The aim to be a repository, freshmeat-style, of Perl
applications; selected editors will review and rate the code for
readability, idiom, and some other factors, see how it could be improved
and, if possible, work with the original authors to improve it.
