My guess is that if you [not you Selena, but the "general you"] get hooked
up with the right Perl people (possibly through ActiveState if you don't
know where to go otherwise) you can get more flexible[1] and cheaper Perl
support.
In any case I know that it's possibly to get very amazing Perl "support"
at very affordable rates.

[1] Fixing your problem without spending too much time pointing fingers at
you using the unsupported database system on FooOS or whatever.
