Nah, William. "It's 70 degrees today" is a statement of a measurement ("The thermodynamic activity of atmospheric molecules was recorded at 70 degrees," etc.)
But if you say, "Man, it's, like, 70 degrees, you know": that's a, like, a metaphor.
