Good point. I never thought about it in that way, about getting into it again, but I don't take long breaks either. The paintings that are leaning against the wall are the ones that ground to a stop at an unsatisfying place, and I could never get beyond that. Sometimes I look at them again, but nothing ever clicks. I used to think that I might see something in them that I'd want to try again, or a technique that I liked (although the whole thing failed), but that proved to be a false hope and I don't even look at them again, unless it's when I move them around. For several of them, I haven't even bothered to stretch a new canvas over the frames.
