Well, if they have not changed the design, almost nothing. They have several series TVS type of diodes across the pairs instead of one device. And I don’t recall them having any gas tubes at all, but both of our designs use reverse biased diodes to isolate the pairs from the TVS components during normal operation. As I recall we use the exact same isolation diodes.
I am now using two of them in series to help with the data loading problem, I think they use a single diode per pair per polarity. If you looked at the two schematics you would see an almost identical circuit.
