Consider the source. They have an ethernet problem. Even with no surge suppressor they have frame check and CRC errors. Most semiconductor based surge suppressors aggrivate that problem. Gas discharge tube products don’t. While I will agree that they are a bit slower, to say they do not protect the product is disingenuous at best and totally false at worst. But the users will be the true test.
